Just saw this in the news....
Said Victory wasn't making enough profits. I guess those futuristic designs were just a little too futuristic.
It's sad tho, because the bikes were well made and from the guys I know they were very reliable. I actually was considering the one that was a close/clone to the roadking model. I guess I better get one now or forget about it...
Maybe I'll find one used someday. It is too bad - competition makes for innovation - and now the other companies can relax a little. We've lost a lot of riders to imports and I understand why. I love my bike and the fact I can fix it - main reason I don't want to get anything newer and more complex. BUT- I make some compromises to keep it. I would like a bike with a higher overdrive gear 6 speeds instead of 5. All in all tho - Harley still makes one heck of a motorcycle. RIP Victory - It was nice having you around.
