Never thought about waxing the windshield...good water repellent too I imagine?
When I bought the 2001 back in 2008 the guy also gave me mad amount of his cleaning and maitenance stuff. So I ended up with probably 5 gallons of S100, 2 squirt bottles and still have plenty left. I just love that stuff. Wish you could find spray on wax, lol.
I forgot to add I also use the wax on my clear visor on my helmet. The bugs and road slug pretty much rinse off. I coat the visor with a fresh layer of wax when the bugs start sticking to it again. Usually about 4 or 5 good washings.
Pop the visor off the helmet.
Rinse it in the sink.
A dab of dish washing liquid on your finger and only your finger never use your nail.
Let the stubborn ones soak an extra minute or 2.
Once you have it clean and dry - I use a paper napkin to squeegee off the water - always wipe only in one direction.
A good coat of wax both sides. Let dry. wipe with clean cotton or micofiber cloth.
The wax on the inside seems to keep the visor from fogging.
