My father passed away when i was 11 yeats old he had very nice 1974 sporster he bought brand new. Its been almost 30 years since he passed & i found the bike in very bad condition the tins are painted & in good shape the seat & the frame is in good shape their might be some salvagable parts but not many.Just seeing this bike brought back alot of memories of him taking me for rides when i was a kid.The man is asking $500 for it .I guess i am asking how difficult of a rebuib will this be does anyone know where i can get specs & parts for 1974 sporster 1000.I would really love to rebuild this bike since it means so much to me & my family he loved this bike & he passed @ 28 years old.i really think i can do this with a little help.Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
