Hello there, from the UK
I am joining the forum (obviously) to gain information and inspiration. I haven't ridden for 20 years but I'm now undergoing a mid life crisis (wife words not mine).
I've just returned from a trip to Oz where i was pillion on a Harley for the first time. It certainly rekindled my interest and on my return visited my local Harley dealer, the question now is which one, and how can I afford it?

I've no objection to buying used but reliability is an issue as I must admit to being a mechanical incompetent if ever there was one. As to which style having sat on a few HD's forward controls seem the most comfortable but as to engine Ive no real preference as long as it'll pull me :) ( i do weigh 220lbs btw) Ideas please

Easy - make a list of the things you want on your bike...
wind screen, storage, size...
How tall are you? what size is comfortable - larger bikes weigh more and ultimately take more strength to ride.
As for reliability - pay a mechanic to inspect the bike before you buy it - used bikes that have little mileage are usually still reliable and have plenty of life left in them.
