I did register my bike Wednesday but its been pouring all day and will for the next couple days. And good too because its washing all the sand and salt off the tar roads.

It's a step in the right direction - at least now when the rain stops you can finally get that first ride of the season.

Tradionally April, especially early April is not the best time of year quite yet. 48-50 in the day, plummeting to 28-32 at nite. Still lots of salt and sand on the roads. These chronic April showers takes care of that pretty good. So while mother nature is making up her mind to let go of winter (ice/rain mix forcasted over the weekend, :icon_crry: ) I use that time to get a huge leg up on my summer chores. Sunday we had high winds and laid down 3 average sized trees..had to cut those up, still need to stack or cart them off. Plus rake the yard of all the branchs and twigs. And then theres the long flower beds to clean and re plant and sanding and painting the white picket fence and arbor. And I am way over due for cleaning out the barn and garage..thats a mess. And no room no where for nothing. Once the real good weather breaks I don't want any reason to hold me back on riding. The 4 acres of grass needs regular cutting..PITA. Country living, you gotta love it.

Had a great winter as far as in door stuff. Went thru and cleaned out my closets..all 4 of them. Hdn't done that in 20+years. Hung my guns and fishing poles up instead of them all just laying all over the place.

Riding will be earned and greatly appreciated.

BI sighting:

I saw BI today riding down the 22 freeway... OK - it wasn't BI but it sure did look like him.
This guy was his doppelganger - He was a motor cycle escort rider on an old CHP bike.
I did a double take - he looked at me - I realized, First- he's not a cop, Second it wasn't BI even though he looked just like him... Maybe it was...
He wound up jumping on with me and we cruised up the road together as I peeled off for my exit I gave him a wave and he hit his siren - damn it gave me a startle...
Thinking of you BI!!

Funny story and was a enjoyable read*thanks for sharing....wish it were true. I am currently the recipient of 2 inchs of snow. I couldn't believe it. I woke up at 6PM (working 3rds) looked outside and could not believe what my eyes were seeing. Are you kidding...WTF.

Also once you get to that 55-60+ gray beard age we are all a wash (look the same),lol. I bet that guy you saw gets all the chicks. :icon_laughing:

vacation is getting down, another great day at the drag strip in Va. at the end of racing last night the skies opened up just as we were leaving for the hotel, got drenched on that one. Leave after racing today to go back to the great white north. At least it will be above freezing for the lows when we get back to Ma. on Monday. We are over 3,000 miles, should end up with a little over 3,700 miles in 13 days with 5 days at drag strips and 3 days at Key West. The field for the Top Fuel Harleys is 6.39 seconds with the quickest at 6.26 seconds, tight field for Harleys, should be a great race today.

Glad for you deer slayer.

Hope to cross paths this summer and we can compare Key West experiences. It was okay, glad I did it once but not motivated to go back.

The weather up here has been stupid. Worcester probably got rain Friday. Up here 2 inchs of snow.

God speed.

Old Man winter just won't get the hint - beat it already!!
Sunday and Monday (today) have been winter weather out here also - cold, damp, rainy... Instead of riding - I mowed the yards over the weekend - I figured I'd get it out of the way, stay close to home, and make time for riding when the weather changes later in the week... 82 forecasted for Thursday - mid 70's for next weekend.

Been running errands - bike is working great!! Knock wood!!

Considering a 7000 mile round trip in May - It would be a little bit less to fly and rent a car but what fun is that? I'm just not excited about the whole "solo trip".

Hope it warms up out your way -
