One of the new seats we tried at HD was called a hammock seat and my wife loved it. If I remember correctly it was over $500 and very soft, but it raised me up to where I could barely touch the floor with my toes. Might be okay on a trike.

I think some of those really thick new seats are using the memory foam. I got really lucky with my bike - I love the stock saddle - fits just right - I'm going to have to re-surface it - it's starting to show signs of wearing out. I don't want to get a different one so I'll probably look into re-upholster it.
