I have just aquired a 1943 WC from a guy that needed some cash in a hurry. I do not know much about the old harleys but I love the bike. I went through the bike from top to bottem. I do not want to start it until i'm sure I have all my ducks in a row. Everything seems to work on it. I turned it oner and a bunch of oil came out the right side on to the floor. Up on further review there is a slit for sump discharge I guess. Is this normal? The bike was on display for a while but it is my understanding that it runs... but I just dont want to mess up such a nice looking old bike. If you want to see pics just let me know. Thank you, Guy

Hi, 1943 WL Welcome to the forum. Why don't you put some pics onto your photo gallery. I would love to see them. Sounds like a real beauty. You may want to post your problem under the "Touring and Non-Touring Models - Knucklehead (1936-1947)" heading so that you may get some replies to your post. I am looking forward to seeing the pics.
Great to have you here.
