I never got one because I never got the purpose and didn't want to seem ignorant and ask :icon_lol: . When it's cold I wear a shirt, long sleeve shirt, sometimes a light jacket, plus my leather jacket. It's warm, but it does restrict my movement. The leather vest might be the missing link.

Do you guys like the pockets for your hands?

If you want I could put you in touch with my guy and he can tell you what measurements to take? I ordered mine in August and didn't get it until first of February. Or at least his phone number to call and talk to him about it. The only other vest I find that are decent arethe lil Joe ones but they're not custom made like the guy who made mine.

Colt Officers .45 isn't heavy at all. Its not the full size one. I suppose a 22 magnum 2 shot deringer would be cooler.

Nix the 22, can't have enough gun when you need it!!! I carry a Glock model 33 357 SIG when I'm wearing a jacket and a Ruger LCP 380 when not, it fits in my pants pocket. They are both compact, the glock is a little bulky with the holster and extra 10 rd mag, but potent to say the least, the 380, a little better than 25ACp or 22 mag as far as that goes.

Sorry - lack of knowledge - Is that chambered in .357? would that have the same punch as lets say a .357 revolver or magnum?
I have a classic pocket piece - the Colt .38 cal snub - nosed revolver, classic detective's gun. fits nicely in a front pocket of a pair of jeans the vest stays out of the way.

The 357 SIG is a necked down 40 cal and takes a 9mm bullet, same balistics as a 357 in revolver but can be used in an autoloader without feeding problems a rimed case would have. it has been adopted by the Forest service or Border patrol, not sure which one. It is not pleasent to shoot in a gun as small as the Glock sub compact 33 but will do a great job for it's intended purpose. I also have the Glock 22, which is a full sized 40 cal, you can drop in a sig357 barrel and convert it, magazines are the same. It gives you two guns in one.

Thanks for the info.
I hear ya on the small size powerful pistol - I was interested in a small .45 ACP - but was warned the same. Kinda hard to hit something if your wrist is broken - LOL
