That’s the vision your girl Pelosi gives the rest of the nation about California. Honestly, it makes no sense, but I’ll bet a dollar to a donut you can narrow down why the immigration is being handled the way it is to ONE or MORE of three things: 1) Poontang 2) Power 3) Money (all things come down to those three)

They see the illegals as their ticket to stay in office. Whichever party lets them in knows they will gain a large number of votes. On top of that, business is benefiting from cheap labor. The drugs are flowing freely into the country. Folks from California are leaving for areas of the country that are American & Tax friendly or at least that is what I was told… even the Hollywood elite. Where I am located the Mexican influence is probably similar as your turf. Which bordering Mexico you would expect that with the open borders we have. The culture here is different and the way the state is run is different. This is all heading somewhere… my guess is they want to disarm America so they can control us. Something is in the works now that will make a major shift in this country and they seem to working fast. Homeland security buying billions of rounds or ammo… talk of the National Guard being law enforcement… where is this all going?

Not wanting to sound hypocritical as I make more mistakes than I do things correctly/righteously and I am not fanatically religeous but as the bible said I believe so goes the world. The bible said we are all sheep being lead to slaughter:

Romans 8:36

"For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered"

I feel the same way KS does about somethings up and it doesn't sound like its going in a good direction. I've heard about a one world government way back when I was 12-13 years old. Who knows how long that movement has been a reality and how much ground can be gained by the supporters of that ideology, at least 40 years from when I first heard about it. Does it really exist? If so it has not been a movement that has moved in a manner that makes their presense felt/known in any major showing of unacceptable force.

I got to make one thing clear- She is NOT my girl. She is a disgrace and I for one hope her political days end with a replacement that has a vision of the USA that was/could be again.
Power and money - See the thread "We the People" if you have any questions.

I mostly ride alone. There are a few folks I like to ride with, but we rarely get a chance to. One of them is a long time Harley rider from way back. He has given me advice through the years. Some things I just didn’t know or understand. Most of my life, I just rode a bike when I owned one. I was never interested in anyone else’s opinion about what I rode or how I dressed. I have rarely experienced the camaraderie you speak of and I have never experienced it with a group of riders. The idea of honor is lost on a lot of people. Speaking the truth and standing by your word are things talked about in fairy tales. Look at the trash we elect and send to Washington… that is our leaders… liars and thieves. I was talking to a work associate the other day and he said we don’t live in world of truth and at the end of that conversation, I realized he was right.

I agree. The idea of a group of riders that ride thourgh life with honor, having each others back, and making the world a better place would be awesome.

Yes.

I was raised that my word is my bond. If you didn't have your word you had nothing. And riding with handfull of riders who as you described as having honor and your back is the best. That also means not being someone who shows out because he knows he has people who have his back, lol. Laughing out loud here because thats happened to me a time or two and it didn't exactly go as well as the trouble maker thought it would, lol.

Like you and being as those kinds of riders are in short supply today I basically ride alone, occasionally with a couple riders who have Kawasakis or Suzukis.

Interesting recent development here...a new employee started here a couple months ago,saw my bike and has been nagging on me persistantly about HD's. Oh he didn't waste anytime purchasing a 2000 Wide Glide and insisting he be my new riding partner. We'll see I told him.

With this in mind, I found a site that was for riders in my area...
I put in my request to "join" their group -

"Your request to join "We Ride" - Southern California Motorcycle Riders was declined."

I guess I didn't measure up... :icon_laughing:

I'm so sick of these P'sOS... it is just so F'd that the majority of riders out here are.. I'm at a loss for words.

I have a great group of guys that my brother knows but I feel like a hang around with them. Don't get me wrong - they always make me feel welcome and I every time I go out with them I have a great time. But - they're my brothers friends not really mine.

I just wanted to find a few others that like to ride - even just one other guy that I can get along with, just so I'm not always alone. 10 million people in CA - WTF?

You can blame this all on the computer age. Computers create fantasies of no reality, lol. You can be anything or anyone you can convince people you are. Like us here, we do not have real life experices nor are we interacting amongst each other in person in any real time experiences.

In person and real time experiences are difference makers and a deal makers or breakers. Computers take away and chip away harshly at peoples credibility and reliability. Computers should be best used to enhance and further freindships that have been established in real life time and not a substitute for real life in person experiences.

I have taken the cyber experiences and met in person with a handfull of individuals on another forum..it amounted to a band of bag stabbing, hidden agenda, power trips and plenty of fools to go along. (Kickstand knows who I mean and experienced it himself). All with the mystical power of the assless chaps, fingerless gloves and doo rag acutrement. Most trailering there bike or trailering there bike and pretending they rode it, having taken the bike off miles before the agreed upon destination. Most, the majority were posers. Wannabees at the higest level. They all wore the visual cues for the established and popular biker holloween costume though. I'd say there were aproximately 2-3 curious old school guys who quickly bailed when they saw the lay of the land.

In my defense I was using the WWW in the hopes of meeting same like minded Harley riders. I really was hoping to find a riding partner to tear up the roads with. Its safer and more enjoyable with another rider or 2. Haven't had any luck. The WWW is a hard to defeat foe. The draw of the fake and phony attention and safety of the home computer seems to be quite the preferred attraction for the masses. And bullshit biker soap operas like Sons odf Anarchy and Ride with the Devil don't help.

I miss the days when Harleys and titty bars were for Harley low lifes.

I apologize if my postings seem like I'm talking at you and not with you.

NO APOLOGY NEEDED - I know where you're coming from AND I think I know where your heart is.
I'm having a hard time understanding the what and why I was turned down. First it made me mad - I'm an asset to all I'm around - how many of those that do "belong" actually could help another rider in a jam? Most of the "members" that I saw on the site were New-b's and at best claimed to be "weekend warriors". I guess I'm not supposed to play with those kids. I have made a bunch of friends over the years, but - alas, people out here aren't the same as those I know in NY. Back in NY you make a friend for life - here it's like paper plates - one use and done.
Paradise? or Dystopia? California has been both to me. When my folks were alive this place was heaven on earth. I had it all - love and friendship. Seems when my Pop passed the happy days were over, my Mother was sad and the rest of us became her jesters, always trying to make here smile/laugh. It didn't really work. After she passed the place became a hollow shadow of what it was. These days - my friends have moved back to where they originally came from, got married, or just moved on with their lives. I guess I'll motor on in the hopes of crossing paths with some folks that can understand me and I can tolerate. Who knows what the future holds - I might even win the lottery - as soon as I start buying tickets. :icon_bang:

You are as I am an antiquated dinosaur. Riders of today want soft porn not hard core . All they want is tits and arse no D*** or P****.

Thats why you weren't selected. I'm guessing they felt they could up there rep at your expense.

I wonder why they wouldn’t let someone in they never met? Some folks enjoy the riding groups out there… referring to the loose knit groups that organize weekend rides. Not so much my thing.
Now a group of riders I know and trust, that would be different.

Don’t feel like you are alone in that. My wife and I were talking the other day and she had noticed how odd it is to make friends in our area. Everyone is caught up in their own lives and don’t have a lot of time to socialize. Not that we do either, but some folks are just weird. You try to just say “hey neighbor, let’s shoot the bull sometime so we know who lives next door…” most neighbors just wave and walk fast. Which is cool as long as they ain’t shooting.
