Signed up a few days ago and thought I would introduce myself. I had an '83 Wide Glide many moons ago, sold it for more than it was worth after I got an offer I couldn't refuse. Was planning to build my next one but the engine I had selected was taken off the market and I wasn't able to locate another like it so I bought Harley stock to keep the money ready for a new bike. Ended up purchasing 3 race bikes with the money and never bought another HD. Kept one share of stock so I could always say I owned Harley Davidson. Now the old body is saying no more racing, well actually my sons did the racing and I just did the maintenance on their bikes and chase them around the woods at the Hare Scramble club/lease we were members of. Here me and the boys are out playing in the woods with a bunch of the members from Two Wheeled Texans..

We had invited a bunch of the street riders to come out and play in the dirt with us, some got to know the dirt a little better than others... :icon_laughing:

Now that Harley has brought the Wide Glide back I'm looking to purchase one and return to the street. My youngest son, the bike rider than tries to ride in reverse had his first ride on a Harley yesterday with a friends '09 Ultra Classic to the August Two Wheeled Texans Pie Run to Fairfield, Texas

When I'm not riding or wrenching on one or all of the race bikes I umpire Texas High School Baseball and at a couple of local leagues for riding/bike money. Look forward to reading and learning more about Harley's and the changes to the bikes since I last owned one.

I'll close with... "Screw it, Let's Ride!"
