I ride out of Inverhuron, Ontario. So right now there is like two feet of snow and the fat boy is tucked away in the shed with the battery minder on. I have all the Leather in my shop and have spent some time reconditioning with "neatsfoot" oil. The last owner never treated the leather and the saddlebags are a mess. The lids have shrunk and do not fit over the bag properly, but I'm working on it. Also need and clutch throttle cables, so that's another project to get at.
Cant wait till spring comes and we can ride again
Tom B.

You are in good company here, these days I'm enjoying sunny California - but I originally come from Upstate NY - I know cold and snow... you have my sympathies - but you also sound like your using the time to get your bike straightened out so not all is a loss...

When you get bored - and you're here - try the chat room... maybe one of us will be on - it helps pass the time.

Yeah I've known a couple posters here over the course of time and from other forums. Glad we have all been able to converge over here. Its been enjoyable for sure. As well I have made some solid new contacts since being here.

But we've had our moments.

I'm not fond of words like troll because in most cases and because your views are different then the collective, you can quickly be labeled a troll. Not right.

Forums can be good but have a tendancy to be one big cattle call of controlled thinking. Think like us or be black balled. We here have endured some comtemptuos moments. I prefer to attempt to win over the alledged "troll" and perhaps make a new friend with patience and understanding if possible. Its important to factor in the plus/minus of the gap between in person and the key board. At least give persons the "space" to be themselves, I guess w/in reason.

Lets not forget that the active motorcycle arena today spands many generations and experiences. The majority tend to be the new riders of today, middle age first time riders and who can't seem to wrap their heads around the way it used to be 20, 30 or 40 years ago. Big gap between how they did it 40 years ago and how its done now. I will say the bikes are much nicer and more reliable :icon_biggrin: .

So far so good. Lots of support and information over here and w/out the onslaught of the over populated, narrow minded popular forums out there. Thats my take on it anyways.
