Hi all, I have had a few antique Harleys over the past few years. Now I have a 1995 Heritage Softail. I have made changes to the bike to make it mine. A seat post and solo seat along with a foot clutch and tank shifter is what I have done so far. A kickstarter is next.

Welcome from the NEw England area. Sounds like a nice bike and if the picture wasn't so small it would probably look like a nice bike. Love those EVO and 5 speeds. Carbed?

The small picture is a shot of the 1926 JD I had a few years ago. Yes, I really like the Evo and the 5 speed. I will post a couple of photos of my Heirtage when I locate the correct section and figure out how to upload them.

Welcome aboard! I look forward to seeing pics of your Heriatage.

How hard is it to install a kickstarter on an EVO?

I do not think this job is too complicated and I try to do as much work on my bike as I can, however, I am going to get a friend, the local independant wrench, to do this. He has the special tool that knocks a few hours of the installation and my garage is not heated. I want to keep the stock exhaust for now, so I am getting a "slim" kickstarter kit so it clears the front muffler. The kicker arm will be chosen after the kicker is on the trans. I might have to fabricate one to clear the exhaust. I am looking for a used set of true duals to install in the future. The bike has a carb.
