Early in life it didn't matter too much. Had kids at home that were running to and fro hocky practice, skiing etc...kids are gone now and MF'er I sure have a lot of extra time on my hands. Winter sure is a lot longer too.
This year me and the missus have decided to commit ourselves to purging our tiny shack of all the serious clutter to make the time go faster and before we get to old and are stuck with a big mess here. Keep in mind we have over 25 years of 3 kids stacked and colated clothes, toys, school bizness etc... not to mention all my college books, notes, test too. We started with the hall closet, its the biggest storage location in the house..yikes. That's actually the worse place. We might should have started smaller, lol. Oh well.
Dayum it was like a wonderful walk thru memory lane for me and the missus. Youth sport jerseys, hats and equipment from hockey, soccer, skiing, gymnastics, equestrian, track etc..even have an original nintendo with about 35-40 games. Extremely outdated with WII's,XBox and other such deals they have now. 3-4 coleman sleeping bags, old school projects, my wife was quite the pack rat.
Granted 80+% is being given away or thrown away and the F'ing mice and squirrels made sure of that, our bad.
The items I like the most are the hardly used 25+ year old youth motorcycle rally/HD dealership tees and concert t shirts that we would buy the kids when ever we would go some place. They are fitting my 4 grandboys perfectly and with a story about them too.

It's cool to have things spark old memories like that. That Nintindo... don't throw away the system and games. You should price it and see what it's worth... it might suprize you. https://blog.pricecharting.com/2009/07/m ... rices.htmlIt sucks you guys can't ride this time of year. Get that snowmobile and make yourself a track in on that ranch of yours. That would be fun.

I know exactly what you are talking about.... Been getting into the backs of the cupboards - I've been here 26 years same house... Found some oldies from childhood - cups, bowls and plates my folks gave me when I first moved in - we used them when I was a kid. Just holding it brought back the old days of eating cereal and milk watching Saturday cartoons... seems a lot smaller now - LOL!! You need a hobby - get that snowmobile and explore those woods, I have friends that do it in NY. They love it and have great stories of just riding. Seems there are major snow trails that go all over. I forgot to add: it's 75 out and sunny, nice warm breeze - mild Santa Ana winds... Next 5 days supposed to be the same... Going out tonight - should be a nice night for a ride. Don't hate me cause you ain't me...

hey BI, know you have bad ass winters up there but I'm feeling the pain down here in New Mexico also. it hasn't got over 35 here for two weeks, nights down to 5 degrees, F man, I hate winter!!! Still working at night in my shop ( told everyone about my shop diet), i can get it up to 40 in there if the wind isn't blowing, no front door yet. I've had my shovelhead up on jacks for about a month doing way past due repairs, waiting on a speedo cable and will be done, if it ever warms up, lets say at least 50, I'll go out for a spin. Everybody stay warm, except RK, hope it dumps a foot of the white stuff on you, we don't hate you but sure do envy ya.

RK - WOW 75 and sunny You see, the thing about Texas is if you don't like the weather, give it a few days because it will change. It's crazy. Today it was a picture perfect day, high of 65 and not a cloud in the sky. A few days ago it didn't get over 45 and rained all day.

Whoa Kickstand...thanks for that. Wow..didn't realize there was any value. I neither know what I have nor how to get $$ for it. I imagine if I knew how to ebay or craigs list we probably gave away and have over 1000$ in stuff. Lots of stuff, lol. Kickstand wrote: It's cool to have things spark old memories like that. Really? New Mexico....you must be in the mountains? Always took for granted NM would be rideable all year round for the most part. Right now 35 degrees would be a heat wave up here. But in the summer there is no place better then I've ever been in the lower 48 anyway. I've been thru NM in September/October...was perfect weather. Took I-40 east to and thru that aways. In fact stayed in Albuquerque. Didn't travel about much as I am skeptical and wary of big cities. We basically walked to what ever restaurant(mexican) was within walking disr=tance. There was a big balloon festival going on at that time. dlowry wrote: hey BI, know you have bad ass winters up there but I'm feeling the pain down here in New Mexico also. it hasn't got over 35 here for two weeks, nights down to 5 degrees, F man, I hate winter!!! You see, you're getting what we had for the last 2 weeks. We were running 10-15 degrees below normal since before x-mas... Now we're getting the opposite 10-15 degrees above normal.. So IF YOU WISH 1 FOOT OF SNOW HERE - IMAGINE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING TO HIT YOU GUYS!!!! badinfluence63 wrote: Turn about is fair play....we'll talk again in July/August,lol!!! I got plenty of parking in the rear and camping sites in the back yard for any of you campers headed out this way. If I like ya I might even let ya in the house - Bathroom & showers, A good BBQ and the best weather in the country. No rain till Sept.
