No, have you yet?
I'm looking to get a better air shock 1 or 2 inch shorter that can ride better than stock

I've had a set of the regular 422's on my 09 crossbones, I really thought it was a great improvement, but I don't know if the added price of the /rap would be worth it. Still looking

i've been reading a lot about Progressive 940s seems like thats the prefered choice for touring models, I'm wondering if gas shocks are going to ride softer than the stock rear air shocks on my RK, which just gotta go. still researching though

Ride height and spring preload are fully adjustable
Tune the bikes suspension to fit your riding style
Superior suspension performance is provided by the progressive-rate coil springs and purpose-designed monotube dampers
A nitrogen charge in the dampers eliminates internal oil cavitation and creates a consistent ride and resists heat-induced fading
Adjust the shocks up to 2 in. lower than stock shocks; also feature a show chrome cover
The all new RAP (Remote Adjustable Preload) system allows for easy turning of the shocks to account for changing loads or the addition of a passenger and is conveniently located behind the left passenger peg
Sold in pairs

Are you thinking about buying a set of 422s w rap even though you have 422s now? Did they not make a considerable amount of differance in your ride

Yeah, thats not a cheap fix but it looks like it's well made - pictures!?!- never trust them.
The part about the 2 inch increase in travel might be the direction you need to research.
