I'm from Detroit and I just bought a v-twin road king and look for some ideas on what to do to my engine. I'm new to this but i'm think up-grading to a 124. Any thoughts on this and and if so pros and cons or alternatives.

Hi Smoth,
That is a nice bike. Between you and I - I would leave it alone and ride the snot out of it. What I have found is that when you start messing around with them they get to be a problem. You are always fixing something or need to upgrade something else. Unless you got deep pockets and love to wrench on the bike I would leave it alone and enjoy the ride at least for the summer. Just my 2 cents

Yo Smoth , I`m with Glider . When you get a ton of miles on it , then up grade . But for now get out and enjoy it !

I have a 2005 Road King with a screaming Eagle Big Bore kit installed and absolutely love it, still gives the beautiful ride with a bunch more power and better sound, I have 28,000 miles on it.
