That's the problem, what's left behind... There was a really bad break out of Hanta Virus - caused from inhaling dust from mouse droppings- in Yosemite this year. People died from it and it is always a cause for concern in a living environment. I never liked hurting anything especially some cute and furry critter. They don't mean to spread sickness but now that it is proven that they do... I think about it like this: They have to go or it could kill me or someone I love. I like squirrels, I'm glad you were able to relocate them.

They seemed tamish. They would let you scratch their haunchs. They probably been there so long they think they're family....not!! :icon_biggrin:

Unfortunately seen another one last night :icon_bang:

You have to block off all the ways they get in with metal, concrete, steel wool the cracks. Given enough time they can eat through wood once they know they want to get to the other side.

Just a thought, but you might research the electronic devices advertized. i had one in my pump house for mice at one time and didn't see any more of them. I also sealed off all cracks and holes.

Caught another critter last nite..a flying squirrel and let him loose in the morning. Around 2:15P.M. on the same day while walking the dog, a movement in the sky caught my eye. It was a flying squirrel, arms spread floating towards me. It lands and I kill it. I feel bad but it was necessary. I know it was heading back towards my house.

You can only do so much to save a wild animal. Once they find out about the inside of a house - they want in and only concrete and metal will keep them out. Sorry to hear you had to put one down, I feel bad anytime I have to do it.
One question, was he coming back to you like a pet?

We were never interactive with the critters except to trap them and take them away. Maybe a touch here and there while in the cage other then that, there was no pet like exchanges. I wish I had other options at the time but I didn't and I just didn't want him coming back in the house.

This is the only critter that I will let in my house! :icon_thumbsup: Sometimes they even need trapping and relocating.

Bad: The critters are telling you that you have a breach in your defenses. If you don't fix the breach, somethng will be coming through it again eventiually.... just saying :icon_cool_too:

Glider... there are two kinds of people on the planet.... dog people and cat people.... based on the analysis of your picture I'm feeling like a cat person. However, if I brought one like that home I think I would be relocated. :icon_laughing:
