My name is Ron-I go by Ultra Blue-I ride an 07 Ultra was blue when I purchased it but since had it painted. I live in Chino, Ca. I also belong to 3 other forums-have learned a lot and hope to pass what little knowledge I have on to others who may need it. Thanks great being here.

What's up Ron, welcome from New Mexico. Met a guy today who just bought a new ultra classic, it's amazing what $24,000.00 will buy you.  he was at my lot looking at a $40,000 toy hauler to put it in to go to Sturgis next year.

We can always use some knowledge here - and it's always appreciated. I'm in the OC so we're neighbors glad to have you here. My favorite place out by you was that all you can eat pizza place - I gotta stay away from that one. LOL. You have any favorite local rides you'd like to talk about - our east coast and northern members are stuck inside and need some riding stories. I do a Lake Elsinor loop once in a while, out the 91 -> 15 -> stop at tom's farm for lunch/refreshments -> lake elsinor gas up -> ortega hwy - 5 frywy - 55 - 91... Nice ride/day out. I usually bring the GF - 2 stones with I bird...

I hear you but at least he's riding. And there may be some reason he prefers to tow then ride. No balz(believe it or not some folks are scart of riding far away)? Scart of interstate travel? Perhaps old? Inexperienced? And it makes sense to a point to tow. Why? Well if you tow you can enjoy the time there and no worries if you'll get home due to a mechanical failure. When you ride you have to exercise a modicum of caution because that is your only means home. And who cares what other people think? Lets face it the highways and byways of America are crazier then ever before and getting crazier. Especially traversing thru major cities regardless on highway or not. Minimum courtesy. And part of the reason I liked riding thru upstate NY,rural Pennsylvania and the Kansas state rt 400 which runs the farthest east to the farthest west in southern Kansas. Iowa and Nebraska too. Wide open and uncluttered interstates. Its kinda scary because you're always or rather I'm always fighting the parnoia in my head that if I break down I'm stranded,lol. It has happened too. Broke down on the St Stephens, CN and Calais, Maine border. 100 miles from no wheres. All the while the Candians were busting my balz. What a bunch of aholes. Broke down at 4pm, flat bed got there at 10pm. Stator fried on my 2001 Ultra. Flat bed came 100 miles from Bangor to get me. Luckily my wife was with me and she is awsome company and a calming presence. We were this close to an international incident. Don't think I let any Canadian insult go by uncontested,lol. Oh yeah Insurance covered everything except the minor deductable. 600$ tow and 900+$ repair.
