I've been told that TUMS of all things is one of the best sources of calcium you can find. So I've been eating that stuff by the hand fulls. Two big bottles a week of the 750 stuff. Don't know if it's helping but I'm trying. No the damn doctors never ever said a thing about taking extra calcium. Probably figure at my age it wouldn't help anyway or something. Or they are all just quacks. They are another group that just wants money and then have you go away!
I buy the calcium at Costco - 600 mg - I take one a day.
Calcium is good for you at any age.
Its only bad if you have problems with Kidney stones or gall stones...
The tums have extra sugar - more calories- taste like candy-
I had a broken knuckle that just kept on hurting for over a year - every time I'd bump it, I knew it. I started taking the calcium and in a coupe months it was as good as new. Been taking it ever since.
