Selling to a friend can be an advantage. I sold my Pan to a friend in Arizona, we use to attend HD renbdezvous's back in the day until he got tired of the wnters up here and relocated. He sent me the money well in advance from Arizona knowing he wouldn't get the bike for probably 6 months or more. It could have been longer but we had a unpredictable thaw in January which allowed me to get the bike to the dealership to crate and be picked up by some motorcycle cross country hauler company.

And still it wasn't a direct run. The 18 wheeler zigged zagged around the country picking up and dropping off bikes until he eventually got to AZ.

Everyone was happy. I got my money and the bike met or exceeeded his expectations?

Selling to a friend can also become a pain in the ass if the friend thinks that everything that goes wrong with the bike after they own it is your obligation to assist. Fock that. I haven't had the problem with the Pan sale. He got that bike solid, witha rebuilt tranny and given the original cases too. Original frame that I hung on to all those years and any and all parts associated with the bike was thrown in.

Sold it to 68 year old biker that has been riding for 50 years. Super nice guy and I am glad to see someone like him get it. His bike got backed over and the insurance company gave him bottom dollar. He had the same year and model as the one he got from me... almost the same miles.

Drinking a cold one remembering the travels I had on the bike.

Whoa...win/win for everyone. Isn't it awsome when a plan comes together. Congrats Kickstand!

Yeah, that's true. He seemed like a cool old school biker. The guy that purchased my bike said he was talking to another guy about his bike and the guy was a real Richard Cranium. I don't understand that... a person trying to sell something and being a turd to the potential buyer.

Karma - Good for you!! He was meant to have it.
You might run into him along the road - get to see him enjoying it.

You can have it cheap.
You can have it fast.
You can have high quality.
