My core gear is boots, helmet, and gloves. Due to the heat jackets are mainly on.chilly days.

It's 67 here... man I don't know. I am not sure if I should wear my denim jacket or not.

I know you're half joking but at that temp it gets chilly. I have a nylon jacket that I wear with a sweat shirt under just right.

I may check out the nylon jackets. what vender do you prefer?

I always wear a jacket, no matter how hot. I have 3 levels of jackets. 1st level is a long sleeve fleece, 2nd level is a really nice HD leather coat and 3rd level is a tourmaster cortech touring jacket.

I've went down on my bike many times and the jean material of your pants saves one alot of road rash so even a fleece jacket absorbs some of the friction when you go down.

We had the FirstGear Factory outlet until a couple years ago. They make good quality mc gear. We all got geared up at their year end closeout sales. Great stuff at really good deals. No more of that though. The company still makes great stuff though- First Gear.

I feel lucky to have Whitehorse Gear a couple hours from my house up in North Conway,NH. They have everything motorcycle related you can imagine(jackets, gloves, flat tire plugs and tiny compressors, touring pants, books, posters,helmets...you name it):

https://www.whitehorsegear.com/

They are totally hands on 1 on 1 with what ever you're looking for. I hope they never get so big they don't do that anymore.

Way back when I was in NY, I went to visit my buddy in NH - he took me to the Vanson factory. He needed his suit adjusted and they do it right there. Vanson suits are or were some of the finest money could buy.
I don't know if they still do it that way or not.

There use to be a Vance store in Nashua but I think the main HQ is in Massachusetts somewhere?

We might have been in Mass for all I know. Nice place though. Great smell of leather. I noticed the brand on all the big names after that. I think my buddy paid around 2k for the suit. It was the best one they offered with the armor and all the bells and whistles. He went down in it on a rainy night and didn't get a scratch... his bike-different story. The suit was scuffed up very little. He got what he paid for, I'll give him that.
