Here in my small town in lower NM, the deer are so bad that Fish & Game authorized a guided depredation hunt in town with bow. They are also trapping them for relocation in the woods where they are in low numbers. I personally don't hunt (I'm not crazy about venison) but i do my fair share with my F-250. Got one the other day, hit it with the front then drug it under a 35ft 5th-wheel I was hauling. I didn't even apply the brakes, just kept on trucking.

As long as you don't get one with your bike... right deer slayer!!

F-250's pack one heck of a punch

In July a group of us rode from Missouri to Southwest Colorado and dropped down into northern New Mexico on our way home. We made a big mistake by riding on Hwy 124, which turned into dirt, dust, and ruts for approximately 20 miles. Then after finally returning to civilization with a paved highway, we encountered several miles of loose gravel on the highway. Not a fun day in the saddle on mountainous roads.

That would be a GREAT picture RK, a big buck strapped to your saddlebags heading back home!!

Hey twoiron72, not sure where hwy 124 is, but northern NM is in a world of it's own. Down here in the south, we actually have pavement. It's a lot more open and warmer, although my last ride on sunday called for a vest over my t-shirt. It won't be long and my leather jacket will come out of the closet.
