I got my buddy to drive me from Albany NY to Hudson NH at 12am after he worked his shift. We got to Hudson around 3 and crashed out. I was so excited - I had a cashiers check for the full amount and I couldn't sleep a wink. By 7 am I was wide awake and ready to go, While my NY buddy got some sleep my NH buddy drove me to where I was buying the bike from. I traded the check for the bike, smiled put my helmet on and didn't look back. Went straight to the insurance agents office, got a policy. Went to the DMV, got my tags/plates. Rode back to my NH buddies house got my NY buddy. He followed me back to NY in the car by way of the Mass. Turnpike. My first day on my new bike was almost 300 miles... And no it isn't 300 miles between NH and NY but once I got back to NY I didn't stop riding...It was early after noon, so I got home, had some food and then went to show every one I knew my new bike. I rode it down the road next to the Hudson River for 30 miles then wound up in the hills - still don't know how I did it. Great memory- great first date with my new / old honey.
Hope today is a safe and fun ride for all.

Sounds like a great memory. It's like a BIG mile marker in your life.

Thank You Guys,
Funny how the miles and years all seem to keep just flyin' by.

My first memory of wanting a Motor Cycle- I was 8 years old - 1968 - I was walking my dog and as the light on the corner turned red a brand new Electra-Glide stopped in front of me... for 20 or so seconds I was in a trance - the sound of that engine - I just stared - it wasn't the first time I saw a bike, but this one was different... I fell in love at that moment and when they finally started to make that bike again - or as close to it as it ever got - I bought that bike of my child hood fantasy.

I know you can - because I can picture yours with that brand new bike you have. I can only hope you enjoy every adventure on it.

Keeping the memories alive is sharing with others. My pleasure.
