Got a friend who has the same era of bike as mine, who has some really nice leather saddlebags that you can unzip and carry away. They had no name plate on them but he said they were S&S. He was drinking and so was I, but told him S&S didn't make bags and I can't find any on-line. Anybody with suggestions on good bags and was there is there a bag by that company?

Thanks Eddie, I'll check them out today. I guess my friend wasn't that drunk after all.

Checked out the bags, pretty good on paper... Some days I just feel like switching out my hard bags for leather, these look like something that might work.
Thanks.

Mine are pleather right now. They'er actually are very low maintenance and look like leather. My next bags will for sure be leather. I'll never have hard bags. I like the looks of the bags on this web sight, thanks for the thread DL probably wouldn't have found this sight with out it. If any of you get bags from this company post some pics and give a review.

Hard bags do have their pluses. I can lock stuff and they are water proof. Next time you get caught in the rain and you are a frost-cicle and you reach into your "dry" hard bag for that "dry" jacket... But Heck I live in CA- it never rains out here....LOL Leather bags look so cool.

Why wait? Unless you think Santa is going to get them for you...
Before you buy them make sure that they have an inner frame to support the bottoms - this would only be on the largest ones.
Find out if they have any liners or liner-bags - keeps things from the leather. Only problem ordering without actually inspecting in person is... do they smell funky? Some leather has a very strong odor and keeping clothing inside a bag like that makes your clothes smell. I'd give them a call and get as much info as possible. What's their return policy? Just in case you don't want to get stuck with them.

Thanks for the tip, RK. They do offer inner bags and suggest a outside support bracket. As far as funky smell, I;m sure my dirty socks and underwear will take care of this issue.
