On Thursday I rode my bike from where I live in New Hampshire to Harrisville,RI to visit mom and stack some wood and then Moosup Connecticut to visit a friend of mine at his craft shop. The guy does amazing work with leather bone, snake skin etc..its not cheap but its well made and one of a kind. I ordered a vest. Been meaning to get one form him for 30 years now, lol.

Anyway the day started out wicked foggy,I mean dense damp foggy at 8am. My route was mainly interstate because of time constraints. I went I-89S/I-93S/I-293S/I-495S/I-290W and rt 146S. The traffic was lite I'm not sure when the fog lifted...maybe by 10am?

On the way in and off I-290 exit 13(Kelley Square) in Worcester I stopped at Golemo's Polish Deli to pick up some smoked garlic keilbasa, Golumkis and keiska. My bike still smells like smoked kielbasa, lol.

Coming home was a 70mph parking lot until I got back on I-89 North. I-290 thru Worcester and the I-495 loop around Boston was absolutely urban compact of high speed insanity, you have no idea.

I rode a pinch over 400 miles of hell raisng neck breaking speed in serious traffic most of the way.

I can smell that garlic from here!!
The difference between CA drivers and Back East drivers is Back East doesn't slow down when it gets jammed, 70 mph parking lot... here its a 5 mph parking lot- but we do get to split lanes legally - not much but it helps.
I can see it, when I get done with those rides I need a beer!! :icon_swoon:

Whats neat about the ride is that there is a slow down transition at both ends of about 15-20 miles. The majority of that ride is 70+mph interstate.

Coming home and because the traffic was so intense I had to pull off and catch myself a time or 2. One error, a flat tire, anything and your done. I could take the back roads as my friends do when they come visit me but a 3 hour one way ride turns into 5-6 hours one way ride. The '12 Ultra w/ the 103 CID keeps up nicely, thank you very much.

I was shocked to see so many shorts, tee shirt and tennis shoe wearing people my age,not young but my age, on big twins and tooling down the highway...I guess its looking cool over safety, F'that the idiots. I was wearing my Tourmaster kevlared jacket and pants. I wish I could take a picture of them as I was driving by them or visa versa. I swear...going at least 70mph,traffic bumper to bumper, driving Big twins and GW's and wearing shorts, teeshirt and sneakers....I don't get it.

Was it really hot out? I mean when it gets over 85 I start thinking about the shorts and sneakers too.
I always wear long pants when I ride but recently while I was working on the bike I was wearing shorts and I jumped on it for a quick test ride around the block... gotta tell ya, nothing felt like that nice cool air.
Yeah but when I go for a ride I always wear boots and long pants. I am guilty of riding in a tee shirt pretty much all summer though.
