My husband bought his Softail Deuce last year and we rode it quite a bit before I decided to get my license. I did that this past spring. AWESOME! I've been riding his Deuce and now I'm getting the fever to get my own. I'm looking for riding comfort but not sure that I know which model is best. I really like the Deuce though. Any suggestions for my first HD?

If you really like the Deuce I would say get another one.

I've seen women riding everything from Sportsters to Ultra Classics here in Florida.

Try doing some demo rides if you can and then make your decision.

Go down to the local dealership and sit on "EVERY" bike.
Let your own senses help you to decide.
Find one that fits your riding style and body size. You might even like something more touring style.
Nothing like saddle bags.
Keep us posted & good luck.

I see alot of women on the street glide. Its lower then all the other dressers except the RG custom. Both the RG Custom and the Street Glide have the rear shocks that are only 11 inchs. The street glide is also a sport dresser that can be made into a full blown tour pac'd dresser with an added docking kit.

Since your already experienced and kinda know what you like. I'd go with RK's comment and go down and sit on every bike. But just don't sit on them take them for a road test. Down here in Az. We have a road test weekends at fire bird lake, were we can go down and road test different different brands of bikes also all the different models of those brands. Right now I ride a Sporty but I think the Switchback is the front runner for my next bike. I am going to take a closer look at the Slim and the Vrod first. I'll tell you what thou if you are already comfortable with the Deuce that might be a good first bike for you.

Or you can take the Jay Lenno approach and BUY one of every kind?
