searching more, I think that harley might have the spherical setup in the swingarms since 02 Thats why people should be very careful when soliciting unsubstanciated intel from CPU's and the WWW sources in general. Regardless of how sincere the remitter may be.

I like the way my bike handles, and by the time they made my year it was pretty much bug free. The only thing missing that would make it current would be the 6speed trans. I know the 103's have way more pull compared to my 80 but for what I use it for my bike does just fine. I did lose a 65 to 100 mph with a mini van once but then found out the mini van was modified, still - a mini van?... I was able to split lanes and left him in the dust... but still - a mini van... Any way, I don't think that would happen with a 103. In 18 years of riding it that only happened once. So since that would be my only reason I'll keep mine for a while longer... Probably a good thing since the current ones seem to still have some ironing out to do.

Most harleys are far from bug free.
The only HD that I would personally totally feel majoritively comfortable with would be a EVO motored and Carbed big twin. The older HD's with the magnelli morelli EFI system are riding rolling time bombs of potential trouble. I was forewarned about MM EFI systems before I bought my used 2001 and 1998 Ultra's and why I opted to trade out of them prior to my ride in 2014.
Don't have any experience with knuckles on back but from my personal experience Shovels and Pans were good in that they more often then not could be repaired on the fly. Always and constantly messing with them but they were void of technology other then Shovels electronic ignition and which could be swapped out easily enough with P&C.
I think the Carbed EVO motor is HD's best and most reliable. Luckily they have good aftermarket MM EFI replacement system.
As far as my onging low speed front end wobble with my 2012 Ultra...Its at about the 30mph in 3rd gear mark, disapears when my hands are on the grip, stops once below 30mph and the whole thing about the 5 points of contact (your 2 feet,2 hands and your buttocks on the seat) as part of the bikes dampening system? Loking into putting steering dampeners on the front end like whats on the trikes. Hey it might just be me but I don't think a bikes front end should wobble at 30mph just because your hands are off the handle bars?

No the bars should be rock solid on a bike that big, with or without holding on.

It changes. In 3rd gear, 32mph on cruise control and going uphill, release grip on both sides and nothing. Same thing but going downhill... front end wobbles side to side.

Seems the problem you're having is only when "not under power- engine braking". Going up a hill is under power. Going down the hill the bike is in engine brake mode, 3rd gear will still still slow down at 30.

Problem solved! Took it to Laconia dealership and mechanic retightened the steering head bearings and loosened the pinch bolt and the front end went "bong!" as it unsprung...wobble all gone!
Last couple days have been up and rolling early and to bed late. Went to the VT/NH Hog rally in Lincoln/Kangamangus hwy to pick up my pin/t shirt and look around. That was 150+ miles roundtrip and a late nite. Today had to get up early and go to Laconia and hang around dealership for a couple hours....140+ mile round trip. Beautiful time of the year up here though. I'm tired. I'm gonna take a nap. Spread the word about the pinch bolt as I know there are a few others with that low speed front end wobble. It only took 4 trips to 3 different dealers to get 'er done. Freaken Harley! Happier then a pig in a poke though.
