Before I traded off my 2001 and 1998 Ultra's I took each for a last farewell ride. The 2001 I rode to the top of Okemo. There is a little known side service road just to the left of the resort, it doesn't look like it goes anywhere. It feels like about a good mile plus almost straight up to the top with a little vertical looping along the way. The incline is borderline nerve racking. The Harleys' low end torque handles it easily. Here are pictures of the view from the top from that:

Good stuff.
Its hard to say good bye to a bike that you've ridden and have memories with.
That is... until you throw your leg over the new one that you like even more.
Ride safe and enjoy it.

I have not felt remorse as of yet for trading out the '01 and '98. However the kickstand on the '12 is a bone of contention. I know I'm not the only one either. I was in Laconia Thursday moring and evening and I observed many bagger owners w/ the 17" front wheel experiencing drops and near drops. Pretty much have to leave it in first gear and rock it forward before putting down the kickstand. Sure hope tyhe com out with a kickstand upgrade.

Hey BI,
if the Kickstand is too low, how about a small piece of 3/4" plywood maybe 4-6" square that you can take with you, place it under the kickstand to "lengthen" it when you park... might work until you can find a better way.
