Here's another question. When I got to the point of removing my push rod running thru the transmission, I noticed that the end contacting the adjusting screw has been running real hot, along with the adjusting screw itself. Should there be something between the push rod and screw or do they contact each other?

Thanks Roadking, I missed it somewhere, still looking, but I'll come up with it. Someday I'll write my own manual on this bike. Learning a whole lot!!!

the rods should not be touching, only when the clutch lever is pulled in.
