Well spring has definitely sprung... The proof is on my windshield. Seems I have more bugs on me and my bike than I remember, then I realize that I've been riding all winter and the bug situation was much less. Now I am just covered with bug guts, and its getting worse. Is there something going on this year, like every so many years the bugs get worse or is it just me? Am I a bug magnet? I usually just soak the windshield down with soapy water for a few minutes and then use a mico-fiber cloth to wash it down. I was wondering if anyone had a better way? Someone suggested oven cleaner, than someone else said it would ruin the paint if it got on it... I dunno, maybe just Windex or just use the gallon jug of blue windshield washer fluid I have for the car... Any suggestions?

I'd stay away from the oven cleaner and the windex. Pledge works very well, or you should try Bug Slide. When I'm on a long ride I just take a wet Micro-fiber in a Ziploc and a dry one. I lay the wet Micro-fiber on the windshield while I fill-up, then use it to wipe off the mess and finally polish with the dry one. Take it in to the batroom with you and rinse it out and place it back in the bag. Or you can rinse it out in the stations windshield cleaning bucket.

I've heard of the bug slide, where do you get it?
Pledge? I'll give it a try...
I've been using the same process as you with the wet rag, but when I'm home and the windshield is so easy to remove I just lean it up against the garage and hose it down let it sit for a while and then wash it with the micro rag...

I bought the bugslide at the dealer. You can use the pledge on the whole bike.
