Harley Diva here, just introducing myself. I'm a newby, many years as a passenger....looking for my first bike, hoping to find some information on what may be a good bike for me, but I already know I want a Harley. Looking for info on riding tips, and general information. I'm from Northern California, and I love the West Coast.

Welcome, Sportster SuperLow XL883L. Good size to start. Light, quick, handles well,(really well). Easy to customize. You may end up keeping it for life. https://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Mo ... c/overviewHey, RK had to get to this one before BI did LOL.

Hey Harley Diva, Welcome to the forum from SoCal. Have you taken the motorcycle safety course yet? It sure helps to build good riding habits early on and teaches you to be safe.

Welcome aboard. Nice chatting with you last night. Morning did come early and I'm a bit blurry--we did chat last night, right?

Welcome From New England.
I notice more females are riding the street glide these days? I don't know how much riding you've done. The street glide would probably be a difficult but doable first ride.

Hey, BI63, glad you chimed in. You can provide her with lots of info on long-distance bikes.
BTW, you'll have amil soon.

Thank You All for being so nice and helpful. I'm going to the Harley dealer this weekend to look at the super low. I will check back to let you all know what happens.

don't make the mistake of buying a sportster, they are a great bike for the puropse built, pick up a softail custom, fatboy look for a low seat height unless you have long legs, like 33" or more. A lot of ladies I have know love there FL stye rides versus the XL. Just my 2 cents, but no matter what enjoy the ride, I was out you way in Aug. 2011, from Ma. Deerslayer
