I was at the gym at midnight last night, and then again this morning. I was beat, and my wife took me to my favorite coffee bar for some latte' and a kind word. Then my cell pjone rang.

It was "Fish," the service writer from the bike shop. They had some room on the shop transport, and Spinner had been returned. My wrench, Ryan, had did his final check up, checked air pressure, and signed off. The little girl was ready for delivery!

I was already in my biker crap, and my wife dropped me off at the shop. I was never so happy to see the little trouble-maker. It turns out that Betty will need a new rear tire, so they made sure I had something to ride. Up the slab, and into a bath of soap suds, Windex and Bug Slide!

She looks terrific, I also took a shot of the oil cooler, I might have to add a reply to show it.

Technically, yes. It's been in the high 70s for several days now. We've had some rain, but most intersections are a tad gritty. Not a good place to heel a bike over, you'd be riding on marbles. The slab was clean, and I took that home.

We've got more rain coming (that's a good thing to wash off the salt and brine they use here) and of course, it's Wisconsin--we'll get one more big snow, but that usually melts in a day or two.

Just to make sure, I scubbed and scrubbed the bottom of the cases and the inside surfaces of the pipes and the frame. I have a neat spray attachment for the hose and I soaked her down but good. I have a hot air blower made for motorcycles, and boy is that a treat from the old days and a dozen towels!

BTW, I often refer to myself as 'Sportster guy.' I fell in love with Sporties in the late '50s and early '60s. I still remember the first one I saw. This the profile I love, and it's what I imagine when I think 'motorcycle.'

I like your sporty, here's mine. Not as cool as your's. I'm thinking of painting the engine red. But first I have to do a few other things to it. That's mainly why I joined the forums to see how you guy's did things. As soon as I pull enough funds together I'll have some serous questions for you all.

I'm going to get one like yours and paint it to look like the one I now have. You ever yank yours off in a mad fit of customizing, you call me--assuming it's EFI.

I like that turbo charger Handoverfist ha been showing. My bike is an 883. I've been thinking of retrofitting the engine to a 1200, Putting thicker rims and tires also heavier front forks. I like my tank and the color. When I get a chance I'm going to take a look at the turbo charger, I might do that instead of changing the heads. My wife is a little scared of the turbo. I was a real speed freak at one time. I more ways that one. LOL.
