Hi All! :icon_thumbsup:

I'm a 42 year rider from Central New York. 55 years old and recently retired....YEAH!
I had owned an 02' Ultra Classic, but had to give her up as the result of a divorce. :icon_rolleyes: Fortunately my Yamaha VSTAR 1100 had NO trade in value when I bought the Ultra, so I had the old girl to fall back on.
Just got a sweet Ebay deal on an '03 Roadking from Florida, and I'm psyched!

Looking forward to sharing a lot of good riding stories here on the forum!!

Be safe, well and happy! :icon_thumbsup:
Frank

Hi Frank,
Glad to have you aboard, I hope that you have a great riding season. Upstate and new england have some of the most beautiful countryside.

Welcome from New England.

Upstate NY is awsome. Toodle around there often...Lake Placid, the finger lakes and just the Adirondacs in general, you can shove NYC.

To expect to be perfect is unreasonable, to strive for perfection is reasonable.

Thanks Folks!
Yup, I've covered about every inch of paved and 'KINDA PAVED" road in northern, central and western NY and I agree that it is a beautiful riding state.
I also agree about NYC, but a mere 30 mils north and you are talking some of the most incredible scenic twisties I've seen anywhere. There is a short route (218) from Cornwall to Peekskill that rivals "The Dragon"! On your right, a sheer mountain wall, on your left a drop of up to 500 feet in spots as you ride alongside the beautiful Hudson river and all it's ship traffic. GORGEOUS!

Welcome to the forum, Road Kings are great bikes.
I used to live in upstate and rode over most of those roads also. I really enjoyed those days, lots of day trips out into the rural countryside. Looking forward to hearing you share a lot of good riding stories here on the forum!!
