Why not go all the way and drive a GoldWing trike? Some come with airbags. You can get a Can-Am with a windshield that is adjustable for height to screen out that pesky air we have drive through.

At some point it's no longer a bike.

I don't think that you can compare a dresser to a trike. Just my 2 cents.

God Bless a trike too because it gives many who otherwise may not be able to ride anymore.

My point is that we seem to keep adding things to bikes and wind up losing the reason we started riding to begin with.

Pretty soon we'll need the trike's third wheel just to roll the stuff around. If you require that much to ride, wouldn't it just be simpler to just stay home with all the stuff you claim to need?

I'm thinking of designing the ulitmate geezer bike for guys with weak bladders. I call it the Inconti-Glide. Do you need this type of motorcycle. Well. Depends.

People ride/own bikes for different reasons.

When I was in my late teens and early 20's and didn't know better taking a bare bones 750 suzuki,a sleeping bag and sleeping any where was a blast. Now 55 years old I appreciate some of the finer ammenities available and luckily I can afford them. I suppose if I was hard pressed for cash but still wanted to ride and travel I would be grateful for even a Sportster and just a sleeping bag would do.

For 2 up long distance, multi day/week traveling why wouldn't you want air shocks? More storage? I don't think that those ammenities remotely take away from the experience. From my experience they only add to it. I never had tunes while riding until 2008. Wow did that extra make a real difference for me.

Bottom line Tourist you really can't knock something till you try it. Most things anyway.

And how does that saying go...when I was a child I thought as a child. When I became a man I put away my childish thoughts and thought like a man.
