A Russian arrives in New York City as a new immigrant to the United States .

The person says, "I not American, I Vietnamese."

The new arrival walks farther, and the next person he sees he stops,
shakes his hand, and says,

That person puts up his hand and says,
"I am from Middle East .
I am not American."

He finally sees a nice lady and asks,
"Are you an American?"

She says, "No, I am from Africa ."

Puzzled, he asks her,
"Where are all the Americans?"

The African lady checks her watch and says,
"Probably at work."

Well, HRF has kind of a "no politics" attitude, and sometimes jokes are a way to make a comment on a current political condition. Personally, I feel this is a biker forum, and we should be able to discuss any attribute of the bike culture, but we just have to clean it up. We wouldn't want to scar the hearts and minds of lurking lint trap technicians.

We obviously have a strong sense of 'built in America' here. Personally, it runs deep. As you know, our Kenyan in Chief just did a spiel at Master Lock in Milwaukee, the company where I worked on a loading dock for college money. My Grandfather was a line mechanic for Harley-Davidson when the entire operation worked out of Juneau Avenue.

I must warn you, this thread might be locked, too. I'm not a big fan of bi-laws, especially politically correct ones. But that's the gig here. Just be prepared.

Oh, they're not going to take you out and whack your pee-pee. Heck, they'll come after me and BI63 first, LOL. Some things are uncomfortable to certain people and organizations. And in many forums a political section or a photo gallery of nubile women is either frowned upon or segmented to some form of "insiders only" section.

In the case of HRF, I surmise that the members argued among themselves too much and HM set parameters.

I believe that a politcal section could find a place here, perhaps with a post-count-threshold, a password or stricter moderation. But in many forums a political section and the off-topic section are the most popular. And I'd like to see one here.

I'm not upset if they close it or even ask me in pm to just let the thread die. It's the way they closed it at the other forum. A young man posted a comment toward me and I reply very polite and politically correct and was waiting his response. He deserved a chance to respond in open forum. They could have let him respond then closed the thread but they left him hanging. The way I look at it they let me dress him down, closed the thread, left it up for everyone to see (and it's still getting allot of hits). I don't care if a mod agrees with me or not. Don't fight my battles I'm a big boy, I can handle it. I suppose I felt if they were going to close it at that point they should have deleted it all together.

Not my intent. Every forum, group or lawn party has rules or bi-laws. In some forums there was no warning. You do something that ticks off a mod and you get the "banned screen" when you sign back on.

HeadMaster is designing new things for us. I'm inclined to wait, hold some level of judgement and hope a political section is built.

Periodically I post threads on new products and knives I've found. I'd like to see a section like that. If you're a carpenter, maybe a new Japanese chisel is now available. If you're a geek, perhaps a new piece of equipment can get a review. Lots of us have other hobbies. For example, I collect PEZ dispensers.

No, seriously, PEZ dispensers. I got good ones. Disney stuff. DC Comics stuff, Superman, Batman, Joker, etc. It's like comic books. You buy them for cheap, and a few years later some guy needs the exact one you have to complete a set. Heck, I must three renditions of Batman alone.

There's life beyond the bikes, ya' know. LOL.

For-goodness sake there is a market out there for PEZ. I had to google PEZ. My wife said he saved all the pez dispensers the kids had over the years. I'll have to look and see what we have.LOL
