The new style of bikes from harley are the blacked out ones with less chrome to none and are just what you are looking for. Check them out.
Very true. However, sometimes in suggesting items for a client or even a friend you have to listen to what he
isn't saying. He started off his inquiry by saying he rode metrics (and most of us did, as well) and then stated he'd prefer "quiet and blacked out."
Fair enough. Lot's of people want stuff that MoCo won't sell. Heck, they didn't build a smaller bike for me until 2010. And I'm not sure they're ever going to build a bike for him. He might have to settle for compromises, like taking a Blackline and putting saddlebags and a windshield on it.
MoCo has a huge custom catalog. If you flip through it they sell mostly "loud chrome." This member wants "quiet black."
Look at this ridiculous new Sportster, the "72." Another abomination from the parts pin.
"Take a 48, chrome everything, and then bolt on ape-hangers."For just short of two years I rode GoldWings. I was doing a lot of riding--a lot. I decided that sometimes Harleys aren't for everyone. Granted, blowing up the 1979 'Wing might have been a fluke, but the '78 was good for what I bought it for. And I did see a completely blacked out Electra Glide in "Bagger" magazine. I'm just not hearing "complete custom" in his post.
