I'm sitting here this morning reading over the forum.just finished Tourist's post about the snow...better him than me lol.I live in central N.C, around the Raleigh area,people here can't drive when it rains much less snow,one inch of snow an everthing shuts down.But we have been lucky so far,it has been a very mild winter... so far.Most days are in the mid 50's to highs in the 65 to 70 range,good day's to get some extra riding in......BUT....as i posted earlier on here, Sept 24th i broke my right leg in three places ,day after my birthday,doc says 6 months heal time.staring to walk on it a little now.Will not be much longer.If you love to ride, i think you know how i feel,65 or 70 degrees outside an i'm stuck on crutches,all this free time, and can't ride , I hobble out to the shop ever day an tinker ..bike has never been cleaner, A couple of days lately we had temps in the 70's, those days i could not find my keys...... turns out my wife knows me to well,took them to work with her.....maybe a good thing.If anything good has come out of this, its the fact that when you have the oppurtunity to do what you love to do, DO IT. Already planning some 3 day weekend rides for spring,August we're riding out to Sturgis for the rally,looking forward to the scenery out there.Tourist,i hope you have a early spring,to everone who loves to ride,if you have a chance to ride ...do it.. you never know when things may change.Looking forward till i can throw a leg over.......and it dose'nt hurt. Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Oh that's a smart wife you have, the key thing. I live in socal and I am very lucky that there is good riding weather year round. Today it's about 70's and it's colder inside my home then outside. I'm with you and hope that everyone has a early spring so they can get out and ride.

LOL. No new snow today, but it got colder as the day wore on. The sad part is that I did not have a pair of traditional winter boots, and I hated to part with money needed later for chrome and premium fuel. However, I did have a pair of Harley boots made for rain, and they had aggressive lug soles for grip--like on snow and ice. I never liked them, and I have several pairs of Havoc style, so I decided to sacrifice the rain boots for slop.

After the gym, my wife and I went to the coffee bar. And as I sat there I would periodically look at my feet. Of course, the "Harley-Davidson" name plate threaded through the laces was a constant reminder that my rides are a few months off. An itch I cannot scratch.
