You have consistently kept this forum interesting and imbued the never say die attitude. I hope when the poswers that be get around to picking Mods you are rewarded.

Unfortunatley I suspect once this place gets rolling under its own power, controversial posters like me and you will be prohibited. I've seen it happen a few times.

picking Mods you

Oh, no, no, no!

After leading a life of climbing down the ladder of success rung by rung, I have no desire to be an officer!

As a mod, I would have to pretend I care. I would have to feign sympathy. I would have to look up the word "compassion" in the dictionary. I would be the first moderator in history that HeadMaster would have to ban--even for just cause!

Yikes, I don't even like having to use the noun 'choir' when we all know I mean, well, you know, a "choir."

Rules? It's more fun to break 'em. However, on the plus side, it might be worth the hassle to get Headmaster and RK to post more--just to see what devilish escapades I'm doing with their forum... :icon_laughing:

Don't worry guys I'm making my list and checking it twice. Believe me I know who's naughty or nice! As you already know I keep this forum clean from unwanted posts and intend to keep it that way.

This forum gets a lot of traffic, we want to encourage people to join, participate and mentor. We were all newbs at one time. I have no desire to stifle anyone posting unless it goes against my own views and thoughts. As you have seen in the past I don't ban I delete and I am the only one with that power here. In reality you are all mods here, if you want something let me know and we will try to make it happen. If anyone knows the tourist does, we don't like spammers do we! If there is a problem with a member let me know and I will be fair with the situation.

This is a great forum and I am happy to have all our members and welcome new ones. This forum belongs to all the members lets keep it great and make new friends.

...and that's why I'm glad you're the admin, and not me...

Spammers? Oh, I don't mind being a grunt level enforcer. I got into Harleys for all of the right reasons, like babes, straight pipes, and finally finding out why the fudds whacked off their jacket sleeves.

You look at my choir robes today and they are just as filthy/pristine as ever. Filthy, because they have never been washed. Pristine, because no officer emblem has ever desecrated them.

I think HeadMaster does make a valid point. We start assigning duties, listing a bunch of bi-laws, using the 'stun setting' for spammers, and telling posers we really like the chrome Screaming Beagle parts they put on their mom's lint trap, then we lose the very thing that makes HRF our home.

Besides, I'm still spry enough to a dig a few shallow graves rather than sit up at zero-dark-thirty scanning lines and lines of computer code looking for words with "F" in them and slapping a pee-pee for thread drift.

I'd rather take a bannishment like a man than assign one as a puss.

And therein may lie a problem?

I don't think it ever will be. Consider us as examples.

The reason that you and I got banned before always came down to two simple reasons. One, if we observed a truth that needed to be told, or an innocent guy defended, or some asshat abusing the privilege of living in his mom's basement, we spoke up. Usually too loud.

Two, modern 'bikers' hate that. We make enemies. They don't call us out anymore. They whine. They flame. They go tell moderators we are devaluating their self-esteem. Lint traps are not cleaned. It's utter chaos.

That's not what HRF is about. The only thing I've been asked to do is use phrases like "sing in the choir." No biggee. Everyone knows what it means.

Besides, do you really think that HeadMaster and RK will ever say, "Quit posting real pictures and shouting the truth so loud!"

If it ever happens, you and I will leave voluntarity and go find a ballroom dancing forum. I will change my handle to The Dance Floorist, and you, BadFlatulence63.

Why, BI63, you crafty Houdini! First you're here, then you're gone, and now you're here again! Mysticism? Vacation? Frodo's cape?

We'll have to start calling you "El Gato63." Nine lives.
