Why, thank you, Carpenter.

I will have a Merry Christmas, although I do not celebrate it openly. Not a spiritual issue, I just have problems with society in general.

My wife is going to see her relatives, and she's going to leave me in piece. The gym is closed for the day, so my muscles and joints get to stop aching, the mutts and I will enjoy a leisurely sleep on the couch, the Packers play the Bears and I get to eat one of those "biker chef salads" I so dearly enjoy.

Late in August or early September I do find a quiet, peaceful hunk of road and say "Happy Birthday" to my Savior for taking me in. It is the real time of his birth, and I have a lot for which to be grateful. That element cannot be accomplished with tinsel and a credit card, and besides, the 'choirboy' in me still enjoys telling the world to shove it.

I do wish a peaceful season to the HRF guys. And if one of you clowns puts a wheel down in a warmer clime, think of me, and bang one downshift!

I've been saying that for years.

In fact, calling Chicago "The Windy City" is a misnomer. The rush of air does not come from wind, but from the vortex created because the Bears suck.

Still, while I enjoy Rodgers throwing TD passes, the game lacked excitement. Once our offense got rolling, it was over long before the final gun.

And while I do like Rodgers, I have to admit I have a soft spot for Matthews. I love to watch him flying all over the field just harrassing the quarterback. Glad to see he got an interception.

The banner headline in today's morning newspaper read, "Road to Super Bowl goes through Lambeau."

Da nada. BI63 and I can talk for hours about trivia like six-point sockets, the benefits of a dry Barnett clutch and who I thought was the better lay--Susan Anton or his third wife. In a nutshell, we kibitz for the pure joy of driving other people nuts. I'm a cheesehead, as far as I'm concerned, if not for Wisconsin, there would be no decent motorcycles or football.

Only two forms of dancing in Wisconsin. The first type, with an accordion and a beer barrel. The second, uses a pole and a whole lotta singles...

I am the archetypical Wisconsite. Long history of oddball ethnic mixing. We eat sauerkraut with pasta and a Miller High Life. Then we play Schafkopf. And if you mauer we slice you up with a stiletto.

My Grandfather worked on the Harley-Davidson assembly line. For fun, he was a prize fighter. All five of his children raised dysfunctional families. Most were drunks. He himself died at the age of 93 pouring whiskey on ice cream. True story.

So, I'm a chatterbox. I ride Harleys, worked at a dealership. I don't drink or smoke, but I did join a choir. That's alright. Grandpa never had to see that... :icon_winking:

Chico...er I mean Tourist..sorry...

Any who your conversations and postings, for the record, are awsome, real and as an old guy I get it. Over the years and on other forums when I saw how your presense and postings were being misconstrued and mistreated I would always just shake my head. Is this where bikerdom has ended up? I mean F*ck...I thought being a biker was being able to speak your mind and as a biker while you may not agree with what another person was saying you at least respected him/her enough to let them speak and have an opinion.

These so called pussified MFing motorcycle forums kill me. Since and as a consequence of most of these forums being chocker block full of middle aged new riders you would think someone would be smart enough to embrace the wisdom of a been here done that rider? Noooooo instead they make the biggest mistake and show just how GD stupid and ignorant they are. I guarantee that if in person and in a public place someone spoked to you or me for that matter in a manner they have hiding behind there key boards....ooohhh I know it would be on like donkey kong, lol. I am a supporter of doling out justice in a timely manner so as not to allow time to make the situation fuzzy and why I mind my own business.

I digress.....

Moral of the story and bottom line ***** old timers and the new douche bag breed don't mix*****. Never have, never will. I am gratefull for your freindship and hold it in high regard and esteem.

Oh, I agree. There are two problems here, and I do not know how to ever resolve them.

First off, because the 1960s are over, we are actually talking about two distinct forms of 'bikers.' That's why the threads of "who's a real biker" keep raging on every board to which I've been a member. Let me give you an analogy. The Ford Mustang.

There's a "real" Mustang out there. There were lots of variants. But to guys who love that car as I do, the 'real one' is the 429 Mustang. It was only built for a few years, and I believe less than 1,000 were made. So even in a world of old fire-breathing Mustangs, that's the last-best example.

So, now the modern age comes. Ford builds a lot of modern Mustangs, and then offers a Shelby model with a super-charged engine and lots of one-off options. If you ran this Shelby against an old 429, I do not who would win, but each generation would argue who's the best. The purists would offer that if there was no 429, then there would be no desire for the new breed. The younger guys would argue that modern technology has brought them a 'better' Mustang, and they were the real car guys.

You would never resolve the debate. And so it is with us. As for younger idiots, well, if they are to survive (and seriously that means bike wrecks, fights, injuries, prison and living within a society that hates them) they will either sink or swim and/or need mentors. That's point number two. I find most of these 'bikers' insulting and clueless--but then, I was insulting and clueless.

Below is a picture of your average clueless, adrenaline infused newb that will only survive and prosper by dumb luck and mentors. This clown broke every rule, and every heart, of any organization and person whose path he ever crossed. Lucky to be alive? Hell, it's a miracle he's still alive!

He's a nineteen year old bozo with fresh choir robes and a really bad attitude. Go ahead and laugh, for I do. So now you and I see modern idiots and 'bikers.' That's the way it is.
