And wow is it nice...mid 60's to 70's! My place is in the middle of no wheres and all the back country roads lead no wheres and every wheres. Just came back from a slow 20 miles ride with the grand boys and the relaxing low speed pace was refreshing. Just need to make sure I have a full tank, cell phone and a basic bearing of where I'm at and where I am trying to get to.

I just got up and was checking e-mails before the gym and saw your post! It's nice to know that someone is riding!

Go out for one of those "ride to nowhere" jaunts I enjoy and have a greasy bacon cheeseburger. I don't do those things anymore, and won't even be given the chance for at least four months. Ride on, blood.

It was so good I took another 30 miles slow speed jaunt to no wheres. Youngest grand boy feel asleep, lol. Its perfect riding condition temp wise. That how I'll be spending this 2 weeks...poking around here and there. Heading to outer banks on friday...kill devil hills to be specific.

Its so perfect here weather wise its ridiculous.

You should go to Pinnacle Mountain.
On one of your outings, if you are close to the coast that is?
I can’t remember the state route it was on, but it looked like a good riding road to me.
I passed (Mayberry) after Pinnacle Mountain I can’t remember all the particulars about it, but it was before you get to Raleigh or was it Durham NC going north? Well if you are close you will know.
Was 1998 last time I was in that area.

You're talking more mid to Western N. Carolina. I am on the coast. "Mayberry" is near Dobson,NC,Mt Airy to be specific.

Either way its was a awsome 2 weeks of tepid 70-75 degree weather and I lived on my bike for 2 weeks..

I've tried to post some photos but it keeps being a no go. Too bad I got some cool photos too.

Glad to hear that you had a great time in NC. Would love for you to share your photos. Unfortunately the forum does not automatically reduce the size of the photos. The max you can attach in a post is 400x400 pixels anything bigger will not load. If you want to resize you can get a free program that will work great. Here is the post that I put up for our forum members.
