What kind of bike do you ride?

Tell you why I ask. I have an older 1951 JKM model Sportster, and I'm thinking about swapping out the chrome-over-tin mousetrap for the newer copper one. I've been offered the resin type, but it looks too much like the one on the kick-only version on the 1965 pans.

No one here has been able to find one. I was hoping a newer member has a lead for one.

If you don't know of any, what's the best way to complete the update?

If you are a steady member here, especially an old biker, you'll quickly realize that the question I asked was pure gibberish. I did so deliberately.

As you know, I hate spammers and posers. The reason I am at HRF is that it ain't a problem here. It should be clear from our past discussions that most of our members come here due to that fact. And you don't have to read many of the posts from BI63 and I to realize just how bad computer forums have become. We feel that HRF is about the last best example, and frankly most of the time we feel like Custer.

When the OP began to post I distinctly began to smell Oxy-5 and dryer lint. So I asked such a transparent motorcycle question that I fully expected a dozen of you to gang tackle me! However, what happened proved the point. The OP didn't know beans about bikes or bikers, and rather than call me out he melted back into the safety of his mom's basement.

But have no fear, I will find that necessary overhead under-slung recapitulater for my 1951 JKM model Sportster, and it will be streetable by the spring thaw...
