Yep, could be a sticky subject, so here goes ! when I came on the scene, my dad was 57, he was my best mate ever, & I had the pleasure of his company until he was 91 yrs. one memory I will always hold dear is, when I was a mere spring chicken about 12ish I would be like all other kids, on a nice day out with my friends & nothing would drag me indoors.
But for one thing. We had something called the sunday matinee on the telly, & it was about the only day you could get a good film. Every now a then, they would put a columbo on, & Dad would tell me in advance that indeed there was a columbo showing at 2.30 pm, & not to be late unless I wanted to miss it !!!. This was the only thing in my life, that the rest of the world stopped for.
It came to my attention that Peter Falk died recently, & yes I am guilty of the above.
Sorry !

i did shed a couple tears last weekend. My dad turned 80 and we had a party for him. To see him still going strong and laughing with his frineds made me feel very happy!! it was very cool. The old boy has a 5th grade education and a degree from the USMC. one hell of a lot tougher life that i had. The mayor of the town showed up at the party and gave him the "key to the city". yup, i teared up. very cool night...

A year ago tomorrow I lost my great friend Heidi, a fantastically intelligent and loyal German Shepherd. Tomorrow will be a rough day for me.
So sorry about your grandson 04SportyGuy! That is terrible.
Life is short; LET'S RIDE!
