I bought a 06 road king 3 months ago. It like to sputter and stall. It has been to the dealer 4 or 5 times. they can't fix it. If it pushes air through the intake ( breather) it will pop during takeoff and sometimes stall. If it starts with out air through the breather, it runs fine. It had a aftermarket exaust, and stage one kit, they updated the tuner, and nothing changed. Then they installed stock exhaust and downloaded stock tuner, left the stage one kit on, it got a little better, but still does it, embaresing me in the parking lot every chance it gets. Any ideas, the dealer wants me to pay for a tts tuner and reinstall my other pipes, I'm not sure this will work, besides, I don't really want to pay for it.

All engines run because on the proper combination of air, fuel and ignition. (I suppose you could also make a good case for the proper back-pressure of exhaust, but I digress.)

You should be getting error codes up the wahzoo. This is why I insist on a factory trained mechanic who periodically goes back to Harley school, and I often buy him food. Mine also can write code.

Most of us here have similar modifications done to our bikes. In that scenario, your problem is 'the wrench' not the bolts he spins. You need a new guy.

If so, then all Harleys would run like yours.
