I literally loathe pinheads. I don't care if they're drunken townies, bikers, congressmen or moderators. If you are unschooled, go crack a book. There is absolutley no excuse for being an idiot.

I am also a member of another Harley forum. In a recent thread, I used a valid and correct term for being a penny-pincher. "Niggardly." Their moderator sent me an PM and told me he had given me a "demerit point."

He said I violated the forum's guidelines on language. I asked him to review the assessment because he obviously didn't know the meaning of the word. We exchanged a few more PMs, yada, yada, I laid it out. Innocent is innocent. He had no authority under any guidelines to impugn my character. I told him I was going to the gym. While I was gone, the SOB banned me for two weeks with my back turned.

Now, two things. Number one, I believe you don't say something in a forum you wouldn't say to a man's face in a saloon. Two, you are responsible for the words you speak, and you do not malign a man under any circumstances.

What's the matter with this generation? Does honor mean nothing to them?

First of all I don't go to other forums just because of the mods on their power trips. This is my home forum and I like it that way. I would of used the word "cheap" instead. I don't know what the mods would do here, I guess it would be in the context that it was used. I know that the headmaster is easy but if he gets pushed too hard by anyone he will show himself.

Well I guess we'll see you here for two weeks and you'll go back for more!! :icon_whee:

Cyber biking strikes again. And the one your referring to is the worst. I tried to warn you.......

At some point and after enough damage done you'll come to the realization its not for you or me or the many other old timers. Like I said I'm only here(spareingly) cause you are.

No, my friend, I still consider this my home forum. I just like to read, and winter is coming. Technically, I went looking for stuff to do. As for HRF, I needed a break, and felt it wise to take one. I notified RK.

Best explained, I met a moderator who pulled rank, deliberately slandered my speech, and disregarded my adherence to the old code.

That forum's claim to fame is that they have many knowledgeable people with mechanical skills, and that is one Harley skill I lack. I don't even have the right tools anymore. It's worth the hassle.

But with 50K members, I was bound to meet an idiot sooner or later. Heck, I don't even like all of the sopranos in my own choir.

BI63 and I had an extended and candid telephone discussion last night. Being a true brother in the old school sense, I knew I would hear honest info, even if my ego got slapped around some. I was not disappointed.

Most of the details will be kept private. I would want that if he called me. I'm not here to be a performing monkey, and neither is he.

Overall, his recommendation questioned my attempt to communicate with cyber bikers and posers, the vast majority of bike forum advocates. This idea hit home. After all, my attempt from here on--now that winter is coming--is to gain additional info on Spinner's modifications.

I also dropped a PM to RK, kept him in the loop.

I believe help from mentors is out there, if you ask for it! When you need a lift, seek it out. I was brooding, never positive. But the one thing I like about bikers, real bikers, is that in a the clinches they stand shoulder to shoulder. In just doing that, the pondering became clearer.

LOL. Well, it looks like I got the last laugh.

Early this morning (and due to an unnamed source) I signed onto that forum and found a terse message. It seems "the mods had voted" and I was permanently banned. Well, at least the little Napoleans were honest about it.

In life, both in the corporate world and on a bike, I have found that when acction is taken against you either by out-numbering you or by committee, it demonstrates their character, not yours. It clearly signifies that your enemies will not fight you straight up. They have to huddle secretly in a conclave, sucker punch you or vote without your presence. This is an important telling factor.

You'll remember that this entire matter started because I was innocent. I used a word that the moderator did not know, and rather than look it up or appear unschooled, he took it out on me. Like a drunken townie. Like a bushwhacker. Like a back-shooter.

Oh, make no mistake about it. I squared off against a moderator. A forum is private property. And there are dozens of other reasons to hide behind a rulebook rather than step into the light of day. However, I hope this demonstrates a serious point to the younger bikers, serious about honor, that I wish to mentor.

That being, seeking that honor, doing the right thing, and paving the way for a higher purpose might cost you. I lost a forum--which BTW is an electric box, not my reality. (BI63 and I have been banned numerous times for doing the right thing.)

However, at the end of the day it's not me who hangs his head. This morning that sniveling back-shooting moderator will have to shave. And looking into the mirror he realizes that while he owns a Harley, but not as a biker, and we all know it. He is a poser that none of his friends can count on. A guys who hides under the pool table while others take a beating. I got banned, but as a Red Badge of Courage, I can state proudly I am not him or his kind.

Edit: BTW, my mood has lifted, I'm very happy right now!

I don't know if you read my last post and update, but the situation has changed for the better.

Not only was his action the personification of stupid, but a telling demonstration of character--in his example, the lack of it.

Granted a ban is a minor dealie, just telling. If you were sitting with your choir next to this mod, and a rival singing group walked onto the stage, would you trust him to protect your sheet music?

If a man stiffs you on paying back a dollar, would you trust him in bigger things, like providing safe passage to get your wife home?

If you need mechanical help just ask it here and I am sure that you will get some feedback that you can use. You are who you are and people should accept you that way. Find places that you fit in and enjoy yourself life is short and the best is yet to come! :icon_thumbsup:
