RK, we'll dine with metal, the pikers dine with plastic. Most guys I know eat everyday, so you'd think this would be clear.

I've had spaghetti and meatballs out of a saddle bag, with those really sturdy throw away plates.
Being on the road was never about going without, just enjoying.
Granted most of the stuff was pre - made back at the house but nothing satisfies like carbs.
I think an "On the road" cooking topic might be in order. Start with a basic metal silverware set and go from there.

"On the road."

I like it! Our own unique combination of eating and riding! That's the answer!

That really isn't a bad idea, maybe some of the fabiricators will start working on a "saddle bag BBQ grill".

Hey, and there's even a successful precedent. Alton Brown took a bike and a couple of friends and toured eateries. I think this would be a great addition here. A stand alone cooking section might be a 'maybe,' but since the guys here ride, "a bite to eat on a bike to ride" might be a real possibility.

I do not barbeque, RK, can you get the ball rolling with a new thread on the subject?

I guess when HM decides to add the new topic or not.
IF not I'll just start the thread in the lounge.
But since it's going to be cooking based I can wait till the new topic is programed in.

Whatever is the proper procedure here.

But I do know that our "Taste of Harley" at Capital City HD/Buell is SRO. We might not 'dine,' but bikers sure love an 'event.' You give us food and a space to party and it takes riot police to get folks to go home.

I'm sure that once the column starts you'll find lots of the members here have sauce recipes, marinades for their favorite dishes and ideas for tailgating.

Suggestion:
Set a voting end date, or you'll never get anyone to vote, at that point we go with the majority.
For a Title:

I always liked alliteration. Stuff like "Cruisin' Cuisine" or "Bites on Bikes," or "Hungry Harleys."
