Ever run out of gas miles from a gas station ....... and your buddies still have plenty of gas . I have found that a turkey baster will fit right down in the opening of the gas tank and you can draw from the tank and put enough in your tank to get you to the next gas station .... I have mine in a zip lock bag in my saddle bag . I never leave home without it ..... :icon_thumbsup:

Hi amiller.
Thanks for stopping by the HRF. I like the concept! :icon_thumbsup: I hope that you basted your turkey before you packed it. Not to worry high octane unleaded will give your gravy an extra boost! :icon_laughing: I’ll bet that you will help someone else with it before you’ll need it for yourself. Thanks for sharing. Hope your enjoy your stay here at the forum.

Welcome to the forum. Didn't think of that one, I use a fish tank air hose. I guess that necessity is the mother of invention. Any how the first time that I ran out of gas a very nice lady came to my rescue. :icon_swoon: The second time I wasn't so lucky! :icon_redface: Just like amiller don't leave home without something.

Who'd a thunk?
So you guys run out of gas enough to carry a turkey baster and fish hose????
I must be one of those guys you're borrowing gas from...
Never ran out of gas.... ever.... except the one time my gas gauge in my car didn't work and I let my brother borrow the car...
Should've known he'd bring it back empty... I got 3 blocks before it died... lucky me, I coasted it into the gas station right up to the pump... bone dry.
I'm lucky and I know it, way back when they built my bike they werent using efi and I have a carb with a gas gauge and a handy little ballcock with a reserve tank. I have to admit I've hit that reserve tank a few times but that was because there weren't any gas stations where I was and I planned on using that reserve to get that extra mile.
I do a lot of riding solo, nobody to borrow gas from anyways...
I'll keep it mind when I ride with you guys, we'll gas up before we start that big ride :icon_toocool:
