I've been reading the latest responses, myself, and you ask a very pivital question.

You get the government you deserve, and that idea while true scares me. Give you a small example.

As many of you know I was fighting our local municipality over my alarm system. Not only did they want ten bucks, but they also wanted me to provide a list of my possessions that "might pose a danger to firefighters and law enforcement" in the event of another event. I refused. But get this.

I had enough. I went to see our local DA, I told him I refused to comply since that request violates my 4th and 5th Amendment rights, creates a dichotomy under the 10th, and at the very least sets aside the spirit of "equal justice under the law."

Now get this, he reached behind his desk for a statute book. The DA. The guy we elected because he knew the law and would defend our rights, not only against violators, but also to guarantee the rights of the citizenry.

He concluded his city ordinance was indeed uncconstitutional, voided my court citation, and closed the case.

My point is simple. Numerous citizens with alarm systems have complied. He had never had a citizen question the law. Dozens of people sold out their birthright because they were afraid of the government. With that attitude, it's no wonder we have our present Washington mentality, resulting in our treatement as subjects, not free citizens.

I don't think anyone but the people that voted for BHO should have gotten this crap.

Watching the news last night, MRS. BHO in Africa, telling them to be leaders!!

Hey Lady, ever hear of Detroit? or any number of southern American cities with black majorities that really could use a pep talk. Yes we need leaders and Americans should be helping Americans to have better lives.

This was a vacation nothing more, at a time when the American people need all the help we can get from our politicians.

As I write this response, BHO has just released both our national oil reserves and an equal amount from foreign sources. There is a neither a glut or a shortage, and the action was simply to pump up his approval numbers before the USA vacation season. Cheap gas is his idea to save himself.

Not even the liberal media could pass up on reporting this strategy. The reserves were for emergencies, like a draconian embargo by OPEC. If we have enough fuel to underwrite his wife's silly junket to Africa we have enough fuel at the pump.

Of course, I don't like the price of gasoline which has been driven up solely by price speculators, not supply vs. demand. If price gouging--especially during a time of war--is the real issue, then the Chief Executive should address that. He's been crying since his campaign that government was getting too chummy with business and he offered "change."

That is, until his approval numbers started to sag. He now spends more on war, kills more young boys in a three-front action, and has done absolutely nothing on the planks of his own campaign.

I figure it costs me between 75 cents and a dollar more to top off Spinner for a joy ride. Three quarters. Our current Chief Executive is not worth my investment. I am getting lied to.

Here's a Headline in September:
US oil reserved tapped, gas prices expected to top $6.00 Home heating fuel scarce.

Dumb-bama is a fool, and he's been using the US as his private credit card.
When I watched that Dip Stick - Jon Stewart show and even he made fun of his own party's master I know something is up.

I only hope that there is a real choice in 2012...

OH, i just had to add one thing, lets just see how much gas prices go down... and how much it costs to refill those reserves with the HIGHER price oil these days????????

Good point. No one has reported on what method, when or how much it will entail to replace our national reserves.

I got a watery feeling that the replacement will cost us more overall, and the tanker ships and delivery trucks will all arrive in the middle of the night--at premium prices...
