I have a 2006 883C converted to 1200. The shifter is to close to the peg and I have a hard time getting boot under then shifter.
Any ideas out there?

Seriously, can you take a picture? This is a new one on me, and I wonder if you have re-assembled something incorrect or upside down. The engine upgrade is a common one, and that shouldn't have created the problem.

I'd like more information. I'm a loyal loyal 'girlie bike' guy myself. I love 'em.

the shifter is still factory assembled. I made no changes. I have found out from other web sites that the shifter can
be adjusted. I will take a look at doing this and let people know how it works out.

I'm a biscuit short of 6' tall, and I find the "forward pegs" about perfect for me. They just seem like normal pegs to me, very ergo. (On a Dyna I have to stretch a bit, dumping my body weight on the small of my back.)

In fact, it's the reason I want a new 1200 Custom. Same good seat position. More Fuel. Still needs progressive shocks.

When you do the adjustment, can you give us a play-by-play report?

I had a 2004 springer softail, I like the 1200c better. Handles alot better!

Me, too. I have Betty on the block, and I'm going to goose up a 1200 Custom. I intend to call her "Baby Betty."

OK problem solved! Since I have forward controls I didn't need to adjust the shifter itself.
I extended the connector rod a half inch on both ends and it worked great.
I unbolted the rod from from the shifter end, loosened the lock nuts, unscrewed
the eye bolts on both ends approx. a half inch. I then reconnected the rod to the shifter
and tightened the lock nuts on the connector rod. It took about 10 mins.

Big difference, much more room for my toe!

Slowly to non-existent.

Right now my wife and I are more concerned on what our overall strategy should be for motorcycles in our life rather than just the nuts and bolts. Her knee and energy levels have sidelined her from going for rides. Just shifting her weight onto her right knee on a long, slow off-ramp would have been too much.

However, Betty can carry "two up." If I do anything "Sportster centered" it might mean two solo vehicles. So before I invest in any item, no matter the cost, I have to think down the road more. Will she join me again?

Worst case, I make Spinner more of a cruiser. Maybe just a Nightster tank and progressives and then quit the project(s). Maybe take the big plunge, pickle Betty and just buy a 1200 Custom and leave Spinner as she is.

We'll know more as my wife rehabs. But I figure it this way. When I walk out in the garage I have two finely crafted bikes I would have sold national secrets to obtain as a boy. I have nothing complain about if the project(s) stop right here.
