I'm installing drag bars on my wideglide and need to extend the length of the wires to the turn signals, etc. The stock wire gauge looks like it is ~16 gauge but when I gang up all wires it is too fat to snake through the new bars. It looks like the electrical current draw on these components is tiny so I want to use smaller gauge (easier to pull through). I bought some Teflon insulated wire that will handle higher temps and also slide easier but it is 20 gauge. Does anyone know what the minimal gauge wire I can safely use?

might be better to just make the hole a little bigger

I WOULD GET A SHOP MANUAL AND FIND OUT HOW MANY AMPS WILL BE PULLED THRU THE VARIOUS WIRES. IF YOUR NOT DRAWING TO MANY AMPS YOU SHOULD YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE SOLID CORE WIRE AND BE ABLE TO PULL THEM EASILY THRU THE BARS OPENINGS.

I'm not sure solid wire is a great idea on a motorcycle, no problem wiring up the old shed but you need stranded wire on a m/c. you also need to use a grommet anywhere wires go through a metal opening, so... maybe you really need to open the hole more just to do it right. My 2 cents, and years of experience...
