Ok Guys--Here's the delima---I got on the 93 sportster this morning to ride it to work and when I hit the start button all I got was "click-click"!--this happened for about 4 tries then she fired right up----I got to the store that I stop at ever morning and when I got ready to leave--same thing-"click-click-click" then "Varoooooom"!--of we go!----when I gotready to head home--same scenario----now all I'm getting is "click-click" no starting---my question is--where do I start?--I cleaned and tightened the battery cables on both ends and no help-----what would be my next step?--bad battery maybe?--I've got it on the battery tender now--gonna let it charge all night---thanks for any help................................Larry

Larry, I have had the same problem on my 92 Softail. I finally took the soleonoid apart and cleaned the contacts and plunger. Problem solved. I have since replaced it with a repair kit. Could be where your problem is.

How'd you make out? I had similar problem, dirty contacts... somewhere.. right!!!
