I'm looking for a chain guard for my '82 FLH. I've found them in chrome, but want it black. Not much into chrome on this bike. Who might stock this? I've searched J & P, and a few other on line stores.

If you can't find it just paint the chrome on black. Sounds like it is hard to find in black. Probably would costs the same black or chrome.

I guess that is what i'll do. Thought about going to HD and get an oem from them, too. I made a really sharp battery box (didn't like the fancy chrome one's offered, out of some aluminum diamond plate and then painted it black and some clear coat afterwards. It came out looking good, and probably the only one around. I'm not trying to make this FLH (Flat land Harley) a show bike, just something comfortable and reliable. Has original paint (black) and with some work, 600 grit wet sand, rubbing compound & polish, I got alot of the color back. Still has a minor dent in the gas tank. I'll probably put one in the other side one of these days anyway.
